The Story Behind CBDingo

Dear CBDingo Family,

My name is Jason Stark, Co-Founder and CEO of CBDingo, and this is our story.

CBDingo has been the culmination of years of effort, understanding, learning, and heart. We have worked with countless dogs and an abundance of humans – making friends and family along the way. 

Back in the winter of 2020, I saw countless dogs suffering from poor joint and bone health as well as cognitive and inflammatory issues. Having been in the cannabis industry working with operational efficiencies and product formulations, I fielded many questions regarding CBD, it’s utilization and efficacy.  After countless friends approached me asking, "What products should I get?" "How much CBD should I give my dog?" or "What type of CBD would be best?" I began my journey down a rabbit hole of research papers and explored numerous products. The volume of resources and knowledge available on the topic was abysmal but I discovered two very clear FACTS:

1. Dogs can utilize as much as 10 mg CBD per pound without ANY adverse effects to kidneys, livers, or other organs.

2. Pet parents are being grossly overcharged for CBD, making it prohibitive to administer CBD in the necessary quantities that your dog would need.

This got me thinking. People didn't have access to the right tools and products to help their dogs, so we created them. Thus, CBDingo was born! I approached my partner and Co-founder, Michael Joy, about teaming up on the idea, and together, we embarked on bringing this idea to fruition. From naming the brand to designing our Vitality Chews, we collaborated with the team at Chicago Culinary FX to create a specific cavity in a silicon mold that would drive accuracy, quality, and ease. After a handful of designs, research, and development, we landed on a heart-shaped chew—"Science with Heart"—the cornerstone of the CBDingo brand.

We researched specific blends, formulas, CBD oils, and formulations, both with and without THC. We explored various probiotics, vetted numerous vendors and manufacturers, and under went rigorous compliance certifications. Our goal was to ensure that the brand and products we launched would be something we could be proud of and stand behind!

After countless iterations and meaningful collaborations, we landed on a team of professionals and an alliance of businesses that we knew would be the winning combination, resulting in safe and effective products.
